How long does processing take?

Expect about a minute of processing per lap. A busy queue can add a wait on top of that.
The Processing Journey
Here's what happens after you upload your video:
1. Upload (varies by file size and connection speed)
Your video is securely uploaded to our cloud storage. A 1GB file on a decent connection typically takes 2-3 minutes.
2. GPS and lap timing
We read the GPS from the file and work out the circuit, lap times and sector splits. That part is about a minute of processing per lap.
3. Video
Your video is transcoded into 480p, 720p and 1080p so it plays smoothly. 360 footage takes longer because it is stitched first.
What Affects Processing Time?
- Video length: A 20-minute session takes longer than a 5-minute session
- Current queue: During peak times (evenings, weekends), you might wait a bit longer
- File size: 4K footage takes longer to upload and process than 1080p

You can watch the processing status in real-time from your Dashboard. We'll show you exactly which stage your video is in, and you'll get a notification when everything's ready.
Don't worry if it seems to take a while - we're generating multiple video quality levels and running sophisticated GPS analysis to give you the most accurate lap data possible.
