How long does processing take?

Last updated: March 26, 2026

Most videos are fully processed and ready for analysis within 5-10 minutes of upload. The exact time depends on your video length and how busy our processing queue is.

The Processing Journey

Here's what happens after you upload your video:

1. Upload (varies by file size and connection speed)
Your video is securely uploaded to our cloud storage. A 1GB file on a decent connection typically takes 2-3 minutes.

2. GPS Extraction (~1-2 minutes)
We extract the GPS telemetry data from your GoPro file and detect your track layout, lap times, and sector splits.

3. Video Processing (~3-7 minutes)
Your video is transcoded into multiple quality levels (480p, 720p, 1080p) for smooth playback on any device. This is the longest step.

What Affects Processing Time?

  • Video length: A 20-minute session takes longer than a 5-minute session
  • Current queue: During peak times (evenings, weekends), you might wait a bit longer
  • File size: 4K footage takes longer to upload and process than 1080p

Tracking Your Progress

You can watch the processing status in real-time from your Dashboard. We'll show you exactly which stage your video is in, and you'll get a notification when everything's ready.

Don't worry if it seems to take a while - we're generating multiple video quality levels and running sophisticated GPS analysis to give you the most accurate lap data possible.
