Frequently Asked Questions
Will my camera work? Do I need any special hardware?
No special hardware. All you need is a camera that records GPS. A GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11 or 13 works straight out of the box. The Hero 12 is the odd one out, GoPro dropped GPS from that model, so it can't be used. On the DJI side you'll need a model paired with its GPS remote. That's the whole shopping list. No data logger, nothing wired to the kart. See the full camera list.
What's the difference between subscribing and pay-as-you-go?
Subscribing gives you a monthly allowance of analyses with premium features like AI coaching, higher video quality, and permanent data hosting. Clubman PAYG (£1.59) buys one analysis at 718p with AI coaching, weather and sector detection, and 365-day hosting. It does not include Perfect Lap or the Video Editor. Pro PAYG (£1.99) adds those Pro tools on the analysis you buy it for. Already used Clubman PAYG on a session? You can upgrade that analysis for the difference. If you race regularly, a subscription saves money. If you race now and then, PAYG keeps things flexible.
What's included in the Rookie plan?
The Rookie plan is free forever and includes 1 analysis pack plus 15 telemetry extractions per month. You get full GPS telemetry analysis, video synchronization, AI coaching, and sector detection at 480p quality. Perfect for getting started with lap analysis.
What's the difference between an analysis pack and telemetry extraction?
An analysis pack gives you the full analysis: 718p video with synced telemetry, weather and AI coaching. A telemetry extraction processes just the GPS data without video transcoding, great for quick data analysis when you don't need the video playback.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated to reflect the change.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor, Stripe.
How are analysis packs counted?
Subscription pack limits reset on a rolling 30-day window. For example, if you use a pack today, that slot becomes available again 30 days from today, not on a fixed monthly reset date. Pay-as-you-go credits don't expire for 12 months from purchase.
Can I get a plan for a team?
Yes. Use the Teams switch on this page. The shared pool is a rolling 30 days, not a calendar month. Duo is $49.99 a month for 35 shared uploads and 3 seats (the manager counts as one). Team is $109.99 for 75 uploads and 10 seats. Club is $219.99 for 150 uploads with no seat cap. Pick the plan by how many people you run. A session paid from the team pool is a Pro analysis, so Perfect Lap and the Video Editor come with it. Each driver's own uploads stay on their own plan. The person you invite already needs a Race Ninja account.
Can I coach a driver on their session?
Yes. They upload the session, or you put it on for them. Then you coach the driver. Open their results page once they've shared it with the team. Pick a lap, mark the clip, write what you'd say if you could pause time for that driver in the kart. They get a team tab on that session and can reply. Do it in the paddock between heats, or from home on Tuesday night. You can coach them without being at the track. If the session came from the team pool it's already a Pro analysis, so AI coaching is on there too.
