Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Race Ninja (www.race.ninja), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. Race Ninja is operated by Antony Vickery trading as Race Ninja.

2. Service Description

Race Ninja is a motorsport video analysis platform. You upload GoPro footage and we extract telemetry data (GPS, speed, G-force, timing) to provide lap times, sector analysis, AI coaching insights, and leaderboards. The service includes video transcoding for playback, automated lap detection, and optional team collaboration features.

3. User Accounts

  • The service is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please do not create an account.
  • You must provide accurate registration information (name, email address).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one active account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

Race Ninja offers the following plans:

  • Rookie (Free): 1 upload pack per month, 15 telemetry extractions, 480p video, 90-day data access.
  • Clubman (£14.99/month): 10 upload packs per month, 50 telemetry extractions, 720p video, 365-day data access.
  • Pro (£29.99/month): 25 upload packs per month, unlimited telemetry extractions, 1080p video, MP4 download, leaderboard access, permanent data retention.

All paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Refunds

Once an analysis has been fully processed and the results are available for viewing, that processing is what you have paid for and no refund will be issued. Each analysis incurs real infrastructure costs (video transcoding, telemetry extraction, AI coaching generation) that cannot be recovered.

If an analysis fails due to a bug or system error on our side, we will either re-process your upload at no charge or issue a refund for the affected pack. Contact [email protected] if you believe a system error affected your analysis.

6. User Content

  • You retain full ownership of all videos and data you upload.
  • By uploading content, you grant us a licence to process it for telemetry extraction, video transcoding, AI coaching generation, and display within the service.
  • You must only upload content you have the right to share. You must not upload content belonging to other drivers without their permission.
  • We may remove content that violates these terms.

7. Teams

Race Ninja offers team features for racing teams, coaches, and driver groups:

  • Team managers can invite members, assign coaches, and view shared analysis data.
  • Coaches can view the video analysis and telemetry data of drivers they are assigned to.
  • Members control their own data sharing preferences: whether historical data is shared and from which date.
  • You will be notified in your notification centre whenever a team member accesses your data.
  • Team subscriptions are managed and paid for by the team manager.

8. Leaderboards

When you upload a session and a race class is assigned, your display name and lap times may appear on public leaderboards. You can opt out of leaderboards on a per-analysis basis from your analysis settings. Opting out removes your times from public view.

9. AI Coaching

AI coaching insights are generated by artificial intelligence (Google Vertex AI). While we strive for accuracy, AI coaching is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. It is not a substitute for professional coaching or driving instruction. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of AI-generated insights. You use AI coaching at your own discretion and risk.

You can enable or disable AI coaching from your profile settings at any time.

10. Data Retention & Account Closure

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Racing performance improvement spans years, and the ability to compare sessions across seasons is a core feature of the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data retention and your rights.

If you wish to leave the service, you can request anonymisation of your personal data from your profile settings. Your name and email will be replaced with non-identifying placeholders. Anonymised lap times and telemetry data may remain on leaderboards but will no longer be linked to your identity.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise our systems.
  • Manipulate leaderboard data or submit fraudulent lap times.
  • Upload footage of other drivers without their knowledge or consent.
  • Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract data from our platform.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account.

12. Limitation of Liability

Race Ninja is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy of telemetry data extracted from your videos (GPS precision depends on your GoPro model, mounting, and conditions).
  • The accuracy or safety of AI coaching insights.
  • Uninterrupted service availability (video processing depends on cloud infrastructure).

We are not liable for any decisions made based on our analysis or AI coaching insights, including on-track driving decisions. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
