Daytona DMAX, Sodi and N35 are on the Race Ninja leaderboards
Daytona DMAX, Daytona Sodi and Daytona N35 are now race classes on Race Ninja. If you race any of them, upload your GoPro footage, tag the session with your class, and your fastest verified lap is ranked against every other Daytona racer in the same kart at the same track.
DMAX, Sodi, N35. If you've turned a lap at Daytona, you've sat in at least one of them. All three are now full race classes on Race Ninja, so the time you put in this weekend gets stacked up against every other Daytona racer running the same kart.
No more wondering whether that 48.9 was actually any good. The board tells you.
The three classes, kart by kart
Here's what just opened up on the leaderboards. Daytona DMAX is the two-stroke racer, the kart the DMAX Championship runs on, so if you're hunting a championship-pace lap that's your class. Daytona Sodi covers the four-stroke Sodi karts you'll know from arrive-and-drive sessions and endurance races, hugely popular and now ranked properly for the first time. And the Daytona N35 rounds things out for the club racers running Daytona's four-stroke fleet.
Pick whichever matches the kart you drove, tag your session with it, and you're in.
Every Daytona circuit gets its own board
Leaderboards are split by track and by class, so your DMAX time only ever battles other DMAX times set at the same place. Quick at Daytona Sandown Park but rusty at Daytona Tamworth? You'll see exactly that. There's a separate board waiting at Daytona Milton Keynes too, and at every other circuit you race.
You'll find every supported venue on the track pages. Beat the time at the top of your class and your name stays there until somebody drives quicker.
Why this matters if you race at Daytona
Most Daytona racers don't own a kart. You book one, you race it, you hand the key back. That's always made it tricky to know where you really stand, because your fastest lap never had a home. It lived on a printout in your bag and nowhere else.
Now it has a home. Every lap that comes off your camera is verified the same way, so a quick time counts whether you set it on a Tuesday practice or a championship final.
Getting your first lap on the board
Already got Daytona footage sitting on a memory card? Send it up from your garage, tag it with the class you ran, and let Race Ninja time the laps for you. The full steps are below.
So the next time you're booked in at Daytona, the only thing left to settle is whether your name ends up at the top.
