Your whole DJI session now counts, every chapter

Big DJI runs used to lose their tail. Record a long stint on a DJI Action camera and it quietly splits the footage into chapters, so one session lands on your card as DJI_..._0001, then _0002, sometimes a third file after that. Upload the lot on our Windows app and only the first chapter kept its GPS. Everything past it came through as plain video with the telemetry gone, and your laps just stopped halfway through the session.

Very annoying! That's now fixed.

Upload a chaptered DJI session now and the whole thing comes through. Every chapter keeps its GPS, the laps carry on past the join, and chapter two starts exactly where chapter one left off. A forty minute stint that DJI cut into two 16GB files is one continuous session again. Every lap timed. Nothing dropped at the seam.

The uploader spots the chapters for you

The desktop app got a proper going-over here too. Drop your footage in and it reads the DJI file names, works out which clips belong to the same recording and links them into a group on their own. You'll see it plainly: a Group A · Ch 1 and Ch 2 tag down the side, an orange line tying them together, and a counter up top telling you how many chapter groups it found.

Grouped something wrong, or want the clips apart? Hit Unlink on one, or Ungroup All and start over. No dragging files into the right order by hand, no guessing which half is which. The app does the sorting and you just press upload.

Straight off the camera you already own

Here's the part worth saying out loud. This reads the GPS that's already sitting inside your DJI file. No separate lap timer bolted to the roll bar, and no second camera pointed at a dash to catch the numbers. Plenty of setups make you buy a dedicated logger before a long session gives you any telemetry at all. You don't. The DJI in your hand already recorded it, and now the long recordings come through whole the way the short ones always have.

Same story on a GoPro. Every lap is verified off your own footage and its satellites, so a time on the board is a lap you actually drove, not one you typed in.
