Race Ninja now shows engine insights from GoPro or DJI GPS, and from Alfano dash data when you add it. Apex-to-peak pulls and topping-out on the same lap as the film. Built after we watched an engine drop off in a race we should have been quicker in.
I was watching Roman this weekend and he was really driving well. To be fair he had been. The meeting before, he'd just put in his career best. Sixth. In one of the most competitive classes, at one of the hardest tracks in the country.
And I still kept seeing the same thing out of the corners. The kart next to him got a kick. His didn't.
He was hunting for it. Different entries, different exits. We'd already thrown gearing at it. Setup too. Nothing broke us into the 39s. We'd plateaued in the very low 40s while the kids around us were running half a second quicker. That's a lifetime in a heat.
So we borrowed an engine.
Suddenly he was in the 39s. Over and over. Same driver, same weekend, a different motor.
That's the bit that used to live in your gut and nowhere else. Engines drop off. Sometimes you meant to change something. Sometimes you didn't. Either way it shows up in the lap time and you spend the meeting arguing about driving.
Engine insights from the camera, and from the dash
This is why it exists. So you can see that pull instead of guessing.
Race Ninja now reads the acceleration out of a corner from the GPS in your GoPro or DJI. Apex to peak. How long the bulk of that gain took. Whether you actually topped out, or the kart was still pulling when you had to brake. Camera on its own. No extra box.
Add the dash file and the same pull picks up RPM and water temp. You can see whether the engine was still climbing. Overlay an older session from the same track and you get a plain sentence about whether this run was quicker or slower on that straight.
Alfano is the import we built first. AiM MyChron and Unipro stay the live glance on the wheel. This is the debrief after. No dash? Camera-only kart telemetry still works.
It'll get sharper from here. The change you made on purpose, and the one you didn't. Drop-off over a meeting. That's the point. A platform like this should show you when the kart stopped giving you the kick.

Upload the original camera file
Send the original GoPro or DJI file, not a re-encode. Race Ninja times the laps from the GPS in the file and reads apex-to-peak pulls from that same track.

Add the Alfano ZIP if you have one
On the results page, attach the Alfano session archive. RPM and water temp then sit on the same pull as the camera GPS.

Open Engine performance summary
On Overview, under Engine & Chassis, read the pull, topping-out call, and any dash numbers. Compare with an older session from the same track if you want.

Check the layout split
If the venue has more than one configuration, confirm your personal bests and leaderboard row are for the layout you actually drove.
