What can team coaches see?
Last updated: January 30, 2026
Privacy is important. We've designed team permissions to give coaches the access they need while protecting driver privacy. Here's the complete breakdown.
Permission Breakdown by Role
| What They Can See | Manager | Coach | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Analyses shared with the team | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Team leaderboards and statistics | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Feedback and coaching notes | ✅ | ✅ | ✅* |
| Driver's private analyses | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ |
| Team billing and subscription | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |
| Team member management | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |
*Drivers only see feedback on their own analyses, not other drivers' feedback.
What Coaches Can Access
When you're a coach on a team, you can:
- ✅ View any analysis that a driver has shared with the team
- ✅ See lap times, telemetry data, and video footage
- ✅ Provide timestamped feedback on specific laps or video segments
- ✅ View team-wide statistics and leaderboards
- ✅ See all feedback you've provided (and drivers' responses)
Privacy Protections
🔒 Your Privacy Matters
Coaches can only see analyses that drivers explicitly share with the team. Personal analyses remain completely private unless shared.
Here's how we protect driver privacy:
- ☐ Opt-in sharing: Drivers must manually share each analysis with the team
- ☐ No access to private data: Unshared analyses are invisible to coaches and managers
- ☐ Team isolation: Each team's data is completely separate from other teams
- ☐ Revocable access: Drivers can leave a team anytime, removing coach access to their data
What Coaches Cannot See
To be crystal clear, coaches cannot see:
- ❌ Personal analyses not shared with the team
- ❌ Other drivers' private analyses
- ❌ Driver payment or billing information
- ❌ Driver email addresses (unless shared separately)
- ❌ Analyses from other teams the driver might be on
💡 Pro Tip
Drivers can share select analyses with the team while keeping practice sessions or experimental setups private. This gives you control over what your coach reviews.
For Drivers: Controlling What Coaches See
As a driver, you control data sharing:
- By default, all analyses are private
- You choose which analyses to share with your team
- You can unshare an analysis anytime
- Leaving a team removes all coach access to your data
We built this system to give drivers full control while enabling effective coaching. You decide what to share, when to share it, and with whom.
