Share your karting laps with one link. Now it actually looks like your session

To share a karting session on Race Ninja, open its results page, press Make Public, pick an onboard frame and copy the link. Anyone can open it in a browser, with no app or account, to see the onboard video, lap times, sector splits and corner analysis. Each shared session earns one free analysis credit.

The page a shared Race Ninja link opens: R. Vickery at South Coast Karting, 21 laps, best lap 0:39.946, with best sector splits, weather and the analysis tabs

Roman did a 39.946 at South Coast Karting on 29 October. Yes, the lad with the borrowed engine. I shared the session twice. On Discord the link showed his onboard frame and the time. In WhatsApp it showed our logo and a line about lap timers. Nobody's tapping that.

So we fixed it. When you share your karting lap times now, the link looks like your session wherever you paste it.

How do I share my karting lap times with one link?

Open the session on Race Ninja, press Make Public, pick the onboard frame you like best and copy the link. That's it. Whoever you send it to opens it in their browser. No app and no account.

Here's Roman's South Coast session if you want to see what they get.

What your mates see when they tap it

In WhatsApp, Discord, iMessage or Slack the preview is the frame you picked, with the driver, track, date and best lap in the title. Tap it and they land on the session itself. The onboard video, every lap time, the sector splits, the corner analysis and head to head between laps. On their phone, in the browser they've already got.

Before, a link copied from the address bar sent anyone who wasn't logged in to our homepage. Now it sends them to the session. Old links work too, so anything you've already posted will get there.

Send it to your coach between sessions

This is the bit I like most. You come in, the analysis comes back, and the link goes to whoever's helping you. Your coach. Your mechanic. Your mum with the stopwatch. Or your dad stood on the bank with a flask, who'd sooner look at the corner traces on his phone than wait for you to explain them. Everyone's looking at the same laps before you go back out.

What if I don't want a session public?

Then don't share it. Every session on Race Ninja is private until you say otherwise. Open a link to a private one and you get a page that says Private analysis and asks you to log in. It doesn't show the driver, the track, the date or a single lap time. Log in as the owner and you go straight to the session.

And you get a free analysis for it

Every session you share to the Showcase earns you one free analysis credit, good for a year. Leave the Discord box ticked and it goes into our Discord too, where other racers can have a look and tell you where the time is.

Go and share one. If the preview doesn't look right wherever you post it, tell me on Discord and I'll sort it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the person I share with need a Race Ninja account or the app?
No. A shared Race Ninja session opens in any web browser, on a phone or a computer, with no app and no account. They get the onboard video, every lap time, the sector splits, the corner analysis and head to head between laps.
What does the link preview show in WhatsApp, Discord or iMessage?
The onboard frame you picked when you shared the session, with the driver, track, date and best lap in the title. Apps cache previews, so a link you posted before 30 October 2026 might show the old Race Ninja card until that app fetches it again. The link itself still opens the session.
How is this different from sharing a RaceChrono or AiM MyChron session?
RaceChrono's own sharing sends an exported data file (VBO, CSV and others) or a rendered video with the overlay burned in. AiM data from a MyChron opens in Race Studio, and sharing it through AiM's cloud needs an AiM account at both ends. A Race Ninja link opens in any browser with the onboard video and the lap data together. That's from their own documentation and support forums as of October 2026.
Can I share a session but keep my other sessions private?
Yes. Every session on Race Ninja is private until you share it, and you share them one at a time. A link to a private session shows a Private analysis page that asks the person to log in. It doesn't show the driver, track, date or any lap times.
Do I get anything for sharing a session?
Yes. Each session you share to the Race Ninja Showcase earns one free analysis credit, valid for a year. If you later make that session private again, it uses one credit.
Which sessions can I share?
Any finished analysis with laps and video. Sessions uploaded as logger data only, with no video, can't go on the Showcase because there's no onboard footage to show.
