About KartSport Hawke's Bay

Over 50 years of history make this one of New Zealand's most established karting clubs. The 687m circuit at CCR Raceway has 8 corners and a KartSport NZ "A" rating. It runs both clockwise and anticlockwise directions.

Monthly race days fall on the last Sunday of the month with sprint and endurance formats. "Have a Go" introductory sessions pair beginners with personal mentors. The clubhouse has a kitchen, bar, and grandstand, with 16 pit shelters, a weigh shed, fuel dump and compressed air available in the paddock. The track sits among the Gimblett Gravels wine-growing region on State Highway 50.

Tips for New Drivers

The track runs both directions so learn the corners in both orientations. What was a braking zone becomes an acceleration point when the direction flips. The Gimblett Gravels wine region surrounds the track, which makes for an unusual post-race activity. Parent or guardian must be present for under-18s.
