About South Garda Karting
One of the most important karting venues anywhere. South Garda sits on the south-western shore of Lake Garda at Lonato, in the Italian karting heartland, and it has drawn factory teams and chassis makers for testing since the surveyor Angelo Corberi built it in 1988.
The circuit grew from 1,010m to its current 1,200m over the winter of 2015, a rebuild that earned CIK-FIA Grade A homologation for 34-kart grids. It has staged the FIA Karting World Championship three times, most recently in 2019 and 2020, and runs the famous Winter Cup every year since 1996. Hamilton, Vettel and Verstappen all raced here on the way up.
