About Shenington

Shenington is hallowed ground in British karting. Based on a windy WWII airfield (RAF Edgehill) near Banbury, it is one of the fastest circuits in the country. The track layout is famous for being "flat out," with high-speed sweeping corners that require immense bravery and chassis stability. It hosts major rounds of the British Kart Championship.

The circuit offers 3 different track layouts ranging from 300m to 1211m, with adult karts reaching 90 mph.

Facilities include Cafe, Food Available, Kart Shop, Licensed Bar, Paddock Area and more.

Tips for New Drivers

Dress for the weather. Shenington is outdoors so you'll want layers in winter and sun cream in summer. These karts are properly fast. Smooth inputs matter more than aggression here. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your session for the briefing and to get kitted out. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a bit grubby. Don't eat a massive meal right before racing. Trust us on this one.
