About Lockwell Hill

Lockwell Hill is the definition of "Old School" outdoor karting. Located in the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside (near Newark), it offers a raw driving experience that indoor tracks simply cannot match. The circuit is part of a massive 60-acre Activity Centre, meaning you can finish your race and immediately jump onto a Quad Bike or into a 4x4 Land Rover.

The circuit offers 2 different track layouts ranging from 300m to 720m, with adult karts reaching 45 mph.

Tips for New Drivers

Dress for the weather. Lockwell Hill is outdoors so you'll want layers in winter and sun cream in summer. These karts are properly fast. Smooth inputs matter more than aggression here. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your session for the briefing and to get kitted out. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a bit grubby. Don't eat a massive meal right before racing. Trust us on this one.
