About Ancaster Karting

Located on the picturesque Ermine Street between Grantham and Sleaford, Ancaster Leisure has been a staple of the East Midlands motorsport scene since 1991. What started as a modest 300-metre track has exploded into one of the largest outdoor multi-activity centres in the UK. The crown jewel is the 1,200-metre National Karting Association (NKA) approved tarmac circuit.

The circuit offers 2 different track layouts ranging from 300m to 1200m, with adult karts reaching 50 mph.

Tips for New Drivers

Dress for the weather. Ancaster Karting is outdoors so you'll want layers in winter and sun cream in summer. These karts are properly fast. Smooth inputs matter more than aggression here. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your session for the briefing and to get kitted out. They provide racewear, but bring your own gloves if you prefer. Closed-toe shoes are a must. Don't eat a massive meal right before racing. Trust us on this one.
