About Le Mans Karting International
The karting complex at Le Mans sits in Arnage, right next to the Circuit de la Sarthe where the 24 Hours runs. The original Alain Prost circuit opened in 1976 and made history two years later when the 1978 World Championship became Ayrton Senna's first race in Europe, where he finished sixth.
In 2013 the operators added a 1,384m international circuit built to modern CIK-FIA standards, which brought top-level racing back after a long gap and now hosts the famous 24 Hours of Karting every year. The KZ World Championship came here in 2015 with around 200 drivers from 42 countries. Four layouts share the site, from an 805m beginner loop up to the full competition track.
