About Trackhouse Motorplex

The only outdoor rental karting track in North Carolina. The 1,127m (0.7 mile) circuit has 11 turns with CIK curbing and proper runoff zones, modelled after the Kartdromo Parma circuit in Italy. Rental karts hit 55 mph.

Formerly known as GoPro Motorplex, it's now owned by Trackhouse Entertainment Group, the same outfit behind NASCAR's Trackhouse Racing Team. The 30-acre facility includes MUSCO sports lighting for night racing, pit garages for kart owners, and a 2,400 square foot indoor event space. Located right off I-77 in Mooresville, the heartland of NASCAR country.

Tips for New Drivers

This is NASCAR country and the locals take their racing seriously. The track layout is modelled after an Italian circuit, so technique beats aggression here. 55 mph in a kart with CIK curbing feels every bit as fast as it sounds. Night sessions under the MUSCO lighting are popular and atmospheric. Book ahead for weekends.
